Robotic Arm 4-DOF

Robotic Arm 4-DOF

The future is unavoidable when it comes to building your own robots. In this project, I'll show you how I made a simple 4DOF robotic arm out of a nema stepper motor and an MG tower pro servo motor.

CAD Design:

This CAD Model is remixed of jjrobotic Laser pointer model.

The Above pic is the final 3d Printed Robotic Arm. The Material requirement are listed below:

Parts Required:

  • 2 x NEMA 17 Stepper motor
  • 1 x TowerPro MG Metal Gear servo
  • 1 x 9g Servo
  • 20 teeth GT2 pulley
  • 2 x 6002ZZ bearing
  • 200mm Timing belt (200 GT2)
  • Arduino Uno
  • Arduino CNC shield
  • A4988 Stepper motor driver
  • DC Power Adapter 14V
  • Alot M3 nut and bolt
  • Wire mesh
  • Jumper wires
  • Matek PDB
  • PWM servo Driver

Robotic Arm Specification:

Driving motors: 2x NEMA17 1.8° stepper motor

Repeatability (degrees): 0.1

Max rotational speed: 360°/second

Firmware: Arduino code using cnc shield

14v DC Powered

Totals no: of degree: 4DOF

Simple Demonstration⚒️

This project's main purpose is to enhance my math abilities. Trigonometry is used to define the end effector, which is then controlled by CNC shield. With the help of this robot, I was able to comprehend the concept of path planning. Finally, I was surprised to see how the robot controlled the end effector using mathematics.

End of experiment

Result: Compeleted
